I never, never leave comments on people’s blogs. ever. frankly, I’m a little embarrassed to be reading about the lives of people I’ve never met, but every so often I end up blogsurfing.
anyway, you captured my interest, and as I scrolled down your page, to this lovely photo, my son, age 5, walks by, looks at the photo, and asks “Is that dad?” I laughed really hard, out loud, and he replies, a little defensively after being laughed at, “well it really looks a lot like dad”, and I had to agree. the “mom” in the photo looks a lot like my husband most every dress-up event we attend. Early on there was the transvestite contest in new york that he won (that was pre-kids) and then there was the year our friends hosted a lovely “cinderella ball” for all of us (and our kids) wherein everyone dressed as a character from “the cinderella days” and my husband went as an ugly stepsister. Then he did the half-man/half-woman for halloween…you get the picture.
we’re also in the early stages of adopting (from ethiopia) so please don’t tell my social worker I left this comment…she might wonder…
