Point A to Point B

Delaney: boobies! boobies! boobies!

Me: ……. huh?

Delaney: poop! poop! poop!

Me: Delaney, I know you probably learned those words from Mommy and Daddy but we actually aren’t really supposed to talk about those words, okay?

Delaney: But, what about rainbows…. Can we talk about rainbows?

Me: Yes. Good question.

  1. Oh I am familiar with that. My older son loves potty talk!
I always just say, “You know what? That’s bathroom talk and you are welcome to use those words in the bathroom but only there so if you need to say those things, go in the bathroom to do it.”
A lot of times, that’s exactly what he does or he just moves onto the next thing without a hitch.
    Ahh, the power of language!
    p.s.
I’m not sure what we would say about boobie talk as it hasn’t really come up yet in our house.
    Yikes. :)
